I have to thank Teddy (my boyfriend) for my love of beer. Although I had drank beer before we dated (who would really turn down a Bud Light?) but had never really bothered to try different kinds of beers or any craft beers at all. He had been into craft beers a little before we were dating and the two of us decided that we would start trying different kinds. We even went to Dogfish Head Brewery last summer and spent the day with a tour, tastings, lunch, and playing bocce and cornhole on their lawn. Such an amazing, free date!

This summer our range of beers has spanned even further. We're especially trying to taste some more west coast beers while we're out here, but I also have a big love of sweeter drinks like shandy and ciders so we've tried some of those as well. Here's a little list of some different beers we've had so far this summer in no particular order!
- Angry Orchard Summer Honey
- Atomic Ale Blackberry Blonde
- Widmer Brothers Hefe Shandy
- Ninkasi Dawn of the Red
- Ninkasi Lux
- Goose Island Summer Ale
- Goose Island Honker Ale
I definitely think that so far the Hefe Shandy has been my favorite. Comment below with some other kinds of beers, shandys, and ciders we should try this summer and I will keep you all updated throughout the summer!
Sometimes it's hard to find beers like this in Utah. I REALLY need to find the Angry Orchard one, and maybe I'll get lucky and find those others!

DeleteI've only recently gotten into beers the past year or so. I love sweet beers so I need to try that Angry Orchard honey! I've had other angry orchards and they're my favorite. The blackberry one sounds great too.

DeleteI like beer more and more in the last year or two. My husband has strong preferences/dislikes when it comes to beer. I generally like ales and sweeter stuff. I haven't tried the ones you've suggested, thanks!
ReplyDeleteSame goes here, my boyfriend prefers IPAs but they're too bitter for me. We usually end up buying mixed cases and he drinks the IPAs and I drink the other ones in the box. It's worked so far!
